Project Lending: Bridge Financing
Indian Energy, a Native American Indian-owned company, received financing in 2023 for a microgrid project from Enhanced Capital. The microgrid project consists of a 15 MWdc PV solar carport, a backup generator, and a 45 MWh long-duration battery storage facility serving the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians. The project will save energy costs for the Tribe, reduce public safety power shutoffs, and increase revenues for the Tribe's education, health, elders, youth, and cultural programs.

Tax Credit Investment: Federal Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits
Enhanced Capital provided financing in 2022 to support the former Kern's Bakery's redevelopment into an innovative mixed-use community after years of blight. The historic building's redevelopment serves as a catalyst for organic growth and revitalization for the surrounding community. The renovation will create a 75,000-square-foot food hall with restaurants, retailers, office space, an entertainment stage, workout space, and a community area.

Tax Credit Investment: State Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits
The Jefferson Arms project, owned/operated by people of color, involves rehabilitating a century-old historic hotel in Saint Louis. Enhanced Capital provided financing in 2022 to support the revitalization of the surrounding area by converting an abandoned, blighted building into a 225-key hotel, 235 workforce housing units, 1,100 construction jobs, and 300 full-time jobs.

Project Lending: Bridge Financing
V20 Energy, a New Jersey-based developer of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), received financing in 2023 for a Standalone BESS Project from Enhanced Capital. The 14 MWdc Project will create operational and economic value by regulating the frequency of the power grid to balance electricity networks, financially optimize hourly usage, limit costly power disruptions, and help the regional grid respond to changing conditions.
