Enhanced Capital today released its 20th Anniversary Retrospective celebrating two decades of providing transformative capital to small businesses and underserved communities.
Founded in 1999, Enhanced Capital has deployed over $3 billion to more than 600 businesses and projects in 36 states; Washington, DC; and Puerto Rico. These impact-driven investments reflect the cornerstone of Enhanced Capital's mission to support economic development in communities across the nation.
"Enhanced Capital is committed to offering financing that catalyzes economic activity and job growth," said Michael Korengold, President and CEO. "At this milestone, we reflect on the significant contribution that our investments have had on communities and look forward to building upon this legacy."
The Anniversary Retrospective details Enhanced's investments that span across rehabilitation of historic real estate projects, development of renewable energy resources, and investments in small businesses and projects in economically distressed areas. Over 20 years, Enhanced has made a lasting impact by:
- Creating or maintaining 15,000 jobs in underserved, economically distressed areas
- Providing $1.7 billion in financing to over 380 small businesses
- Supporting solar energy projects generating 535 million kilowatt hours of renewable energy
- Investing in 116 historic renovation projects in 23 states
"When we founded Enhanced Capital, we believed that private and public entities could work together to solve some of our country's biggest economic challenges," Founder Andy Paul said in the Anniversary Retrospective. "Twenty years later, that vision is now a reality. We're proud to see the role our investments have played in transforming local economies and restoring vitality in communities across the nation."
